The Campaign
A Phone Call That Became a Movement

It started with a conversation. Java Roque and Jorge Vallejo, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Mexico, were exchanging ideas — and out of that dialogue emerged something the automotive industry rarely does: a campaign built not around a vehicle's horsepower or its technology specs, but around its ability to get somewhere that matters — and do something meaningful once it arrives.

The idea was simple. Go to Sian Ka'an. Clean it up. Film everything.

The Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve — a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Mexico's Caribbean coast — faces relentless pressure from waste pollution. Plastic, debris, and human impact accumulate on shorelines that some of the most extraordinary ecosystems on the planet call home. The campaign, titled Chambeando X México, turned a beach cleanup into a large-scale production: part documentary, part brand storytelling, part environmental call to action.

The Mitsubishi L200 — rugged, capable, built for terrain that stops lesser vehicles — became the natural protagonist of a story about reaching the unreachable and doing the work that needs to be done. Not as a prop. As a genuine tool deployed in a genuine mission.

What does it mean to make a brand campaign that actually does something in the real world? It means the production itself is the message — the truck in the mud, the hands in the water, the bags full of waste pulled from a coastline that needed it.

What followed that initial conversation was a full-scale production mobilizing one of the most respected teams in Mexican creative and environmental circles: documentary filmmakers, environmental activists, conservation organizations, and a crew committed to capturing the truth of the work as it happened.

Chambeando X México — Mitsubishi Motors Mexico / Creative Direction & Original Score by Java Roque

The film blends documentary realism with a visual and sonic language carefully designed to carry emotional weight. Stunning landscapes set against the urgency of environmental damage. A truck navigating terrain that speaks to purpose. People at work — real work, on the ground, pulling the reserve back from the edge of what negligence leaves behind.

The campaign aired across Mitsubishi Motors Mexico's digital platforms and was distributed through the production network, reaching audiences across the country and beyond.

The Score
Original Soundtrack

The music was not licensed. It was composed from scratch — built specifically for this campaign, for this landscape, for this story. Java Roque wrote and produced the original soundtrack for Chambeando X México as an integral part of his creative direction role, treating sound and image as the same single object from the very first frame.

The score doesn't illustrate the images. The score is the images — in a different frequency.

The brief was precise in its emotion and open in its form: reflect the weight of the environment, the energy of the work being done, the beauty of what is at stake. The result is music that moves with the terrain — wide and restless where the landscape demands it, quiet and deliberate where the human effort takes center stage.

Composing for a brand campaign inside a biosphere reserve is a specific kind of challenge. The music cannot overwhelm the documentary truth of what is happening on screen, but it cannot fade into the background either. It has to hold the piece together and push it forward — anchoring every cut, every landscape shot, every moment of real human effort in something that gives it permanence.

The Production
A Dream Team

A campaign of this scale doesn't happen without the right people. The production brought together leading voices in Mexican film, environmental activism, and conservation — all converging on the Sian Ka'an coast with a shared intention: make something that lasts longer than a campaign cycle.

Arturo Islas Allende — one of Mexico's most visible environmental advocates — brought both the credibility and the urgency the campaign required. His presence on the ground transformed the production from a branded shoot into a genuine act of environmental engagement, visible to his audience and accountable to the cause.

Onirica Films handled the visual production with the precision and aesthetic depth the project demanded. Amigos de Sian Ka'an, the organization dedicated to protecting the biosphere reserve, provided access, expertise, and the operational knowledge needed to work responsibly inside a protected natural area. Comunal — the creative agency Con Con — coordinated the strategic and executional framework that held it all together.

When a brand, a creative mind, an activist, and a conservation organization all want exactly the same thing from a project — that is not a coincidence. That is what happens when the right idea finds the right room.
